About British UNIMA
Welcome to British UNIMA (BrUNIMA), the UK arm of UNIMA, the Union Internationale de la Marionnette, a global puppetry organisation founded in 1929 and affiliated with UNESCO. Since our founding in 1963, BrUNIMA has been dedicated to promoting international exchange and celebrating the art of puppetry.
As a volunteer-run organisation, we work tirelessly to support puppetry enthusiasts, practitioners, and companies by facilitating connections, sharing resources, and providing opportunities to attend international festivals, workshops, and events. We also publish Puppet Notebook, a high-quality magazine exploring the diverse world of puppetry, from traditional forms to contemporary innovations.
