UK/ The Tin Forest Show: A Puppet Theatre Experience
South Rotunda, Glasgow, until 3rd August 2014
One of Glasgow’s most famous buildings has been turned into a giant puppet theatre as part of the cultural celebrations planned as part of the Commonwealth Games. The 119 year old South Rotunda has being transformed into a walk-through theatre show celebrating Glasgow’s rich industrial past. The iconic structure hosts 'The Tin Forest' – a festival staged by the National Theatre of Scotland. A live puppet theatre experience based on the children’s book 'The Tin Forest' is part of the festival, and is described as “a walk through a weird and wonky world, filled with lovable bampots and eccentric puppets guiding punters through manky wee howffs and wide windswept places” is at the heart of the festival.”
