Subject: A Great Puppet Party!

Dear Friend,

As you may know, Puppet Centre is 40 years old this year and we're marking the occasion by throwing a Great Party to celebrate puppetry in all its wonderful forms.

Please save the date -**Sunday the 16th November in B(attersea) A(Arts) C(Centre),*Lavender Hill, London SW11 5TN, **
**from 4 till 10.30pm*.
*
There’ll be pop-up and proper performances, music, dancing, food, and a bar, a chance to meet old friends and one or two hearty toasts (short!).

We'll be sending out a proper invitation in due course, but for the time
being write it large in your diary and spread the word to other puppeteers and other good friends of puppetry and the Puppet Centre.

This is an event not to be missed!

And…we need to ask for your assistance, either as a donor, or a helper on theday. First, would you be able to make a small contribution towards the costs of the party? Puppet Centre’s on its uppers, so anything would help, from £5 to £50. If you think it's all a great idea, please send an email to Mervyn Millar, – _<mervyn@significantobject.com>_ – and he'll send you Puppet Centre's bank details so you can wire your donation directly across. If you'd prefer to send a cheque, please make it payable to Puppet Centre Trust, with 'PARTY' on the back, and post it to Penny Francis, 86 Bromfelde Road,London SW4 6PR. We thank you!

If you are free to volunteer on the 16th, e.g. to lend a hand to decorate and animate the Grand Hall from 2 to 4.30
or as a ‘host’ to help things to run smoothly, please let one of us know.

We really hope that you can make it to the Party, to celebrate our amazingart form and to raise a cheer for all the people who do it and love it.

Sincerely,

Penny (Francis), Mervyn (Millar) and Caroline (Partridge)
