UK/ LITTLE ANGEL THEATRE – PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Long String Marionette Training Course, with Ronnie le Drew

This course is aimed at puppetry performers who would like to gain experience with marionettes. It is suitable for both marionette beginners and those who have performed with string puppets before. Experience with other types of puppetry is required and pariticpants must attend all 3 days.

Participants will learn the core basic skills of operating that most traditional and iconic form of puppet, the marionette. Both puppet bridges at the theatre and some of the wonderful marionettes carved by Little Angel Theatre’s founder director John Wright will be used on the course.

RONNIE LE DREW has worked with Little Angel Theatre for over 40 years, as well as in various film and television roles (Zippy from Rainbow, Sooty and Sweet, Muffin the Mule, Meerkat, Brains from Thunderbirds), and Jim Henson’s Labyrinth and Muppet Movies.
