Unfortunately MOVING TALES had to be cancelled from #BevPuppetFest yesterday due to unforeseen circumstances but a replacement has been found!

Malcolm Knight, professional puppeteer and founder of the Scottish Mask & Puppet Centre introduces some of his puppet friends and explores the power of the puppet in making friends with you. He draws upon some of the Centre’s extensive collection materials to bring to life Chinese, Indian, Javanese and Greek shadow figures; demonstrates the power of the “breathing hand”; kindles the joy of life even in a stick; and animates the lyrical and comic qualities of a wide range of hand, rod and string puppets. Meet Wee Jimmie looking for a job with a sky-high pay, Beekie Bird from Captain Abercromby, Max on behalf of the management and Baby Deerie who is currying doun. 25 minutes of visual and oral delight across cultures and with the light of many voices."
