ROTAS DE POLICHINELO is a major exhibition that brings to the Museu da Marioneta, the great family of D. Roberto, his European partners, and the story of these puppet shows.
Pulcinella is the starting point but regional differences definitely apply. Born in Naples during the Renaissance period, he goes over Europe and in every city undergoes transformations: his nose grows here; he is made rich or miserable, happy or unhappy there; some leave him grow a beard or moustache; in some cities they put a hat on him and in others they take it off, but all of them make him talk in their local language.
