FIGURE IT OUT! Returns to Leipzig: A Celebration of International Puppetry
June 18–22, 2025 – An Unmissable Live Festival for the Global Puppet Theatre Community
BrUNIMA is thrilled to spotlight a major event hosted by our friends at Westflügel Leipzig:
FIGURE IT OUT! – International Meeting for Puppet Theatre & Showcase, taking place 18–22 June 2025.
This vibrant festival, organised by the Alliance of International Production Centers for Puppetry Arts, returns to Leipzig after recent editions in Berlin and Stuttgart. With a continued focus on international collaboration, this year’s program is packed with live performances, deep dialogue, and community connection — all happening in person.
Global Stages & Local Legends
The artistic program brings together a stellar group of international companies, including:
Wilde & Vogel and Lehmann und Wenzel [Leipzig]
Grupa Coincidentia [Poland]
Golden Delicious [France/Israel]
Sesame – ತಿ ಲ, an Indo-German co-production with Theatre Ranga Shankara [India]
A standout highlight is the German premiere of The Real Fake Object Theater Conference, which unites iconic object theatre artists from across Europe to explore and expand their genre in a unique live performance format.

In addition to performances, the festival includes:
