We’re excited to share this update from UNIMA about their brand new publication, UNIMAgazine — launching soon! Whether you’re interested in reading it, advertising in it, or just curious about the project, there’s lots of opportunity to get involved.
See more details below from UNIMA:
The first UNIMAgazine is coming soon!
Published by UNIMA thanks to a diligent and enduring international editorial committee, UNIMAgazine offers more than 40 articles from puppet magazines and National Centres in Africa, America, Asia, Europe and Oceania.
Over nearly 200 pages, UNIMAgazine takes a four-part approach: Origins, Languages, Medium, Territories, each of which offers a different perspective, story, custom, cross-fertilisation and perception of the art of puppetry around the world.
From Brazil to Uganda via Iceland, Canada, the Philippines, New Zealand and many other countries, UNIMAgazine is an opportunity to enter the world of puppetry through many doors. It is supplemented by portraits of prominent personalities recognised by UNIMA and a non-exhaustive directory.
UNIMAgazine is planned as a digital version accessible on the UNIMA website and will be available for purchase in paper version (see below).
It will be published in May 2025 in English, Spanish and French.
