MEXICO/ 2nd “Sergio Corona Peregrina” Puppet Festival
Veracruz and Xalapa
1st – 7th September 2014
This festival will include performances, workshops, an exhibition, round table discussions, and a lecture on the culture of puppetry in Mexico. The organisers say the festival helps to create opportunities for puppeteers and promotes social values such as respect, co-operation and tolerance. Read more here:

The festival is in memory of Sergio Corona Peregrina who died in 2012 aged 62. He had been an active member of UNIMA Mexico and was founder of both Teatro Dragon Rojo and the Velacruz International Puppet Festival which last took place in 2009.
