It’s Horse and Bamboo Festival time!

The performance programme includes “The Boat and the Moon” with Italian company LA BARACCA. A beautiful combination of words, images, sound and music from the ground breaking Italian company La Baracca, Ages 1-5, 55 mins

Norwich Puppet Theatre/Rene Baker – “The Frog and the Princess”
Theatre-Rites, “Rubbish”
Norwich Puppet Theatre/Polka Theatre – “Three Colours”
Transport Theatre/Unicorn’s “1001 Nights”
Tessa Bide, “The TapDancing Mermaid”
And “In the beginning”, an immersive storytelling show based around an exciting collection of creation myths and stories of trickery and illusion. This piece has been created by a group of puppeteers, artists and storytellers mentored by Horse + Bamboo, especially for the Puppet Festival.

There are also FREE drop-in parade puppet-making workshops on:
Friday 1pm – 2pm and 3pm – 4pm
Saturday and Sunday 11.30am – 4pm
Workshops will be held in the MENCAP building by the festival gate.

On Saturday, FREE stuff in the garden of The Boo includes Pif Paf’s amazing FLYCYCLE, live music, walkabout monsters and fortune telling fish, and parade making workshops.

And on Sunday, FREE events include HAND TO MOUTH’s “Piggery Jokery” and “Punch and Judy”, LEMPEN’s “Dr Frankenstein”, Dhol drumming by Dhamak, Baby Boo in the garden, and music by the Boom Bike Trio. Parade making workshops all afternoon.
